Samambaia is a percussion group. This formation under the guidance of Nema Lopes has added to itself in the last few years the treasure of rhythms found on the banks of the Amazon region.
Samambaia knows thereby no borders: it easily combines swinging sambas from Rio de Janeiro with the traditional carnival music from Recife or the samba-reggae from Bahia with the stamping maracatu from the North east. Thus a repertoire full of diversity, but with one common property: the capacity to get each public to dance.
The group is booked for festivals, company events and congresses. Samambaia can be completed if required with professional Brazilian dancer(s). Samambaia can also be combined with the Brazilian groups Yagua and Bora Bora.
